Biography

Alejandro joined the School of Economics in September 2009 as a Research Fellow in the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP) and became a Lecturer in March 2011. His research focuses on firm-level adjustment to globalisation and its aggregate implications. Currently he works on quantifying the impact of trade liberalisation on firm-level technology adoption and its implications for wage inequality, understanding how exporting affects firm-level sales volatility and exploring the labour market impact of offshoring in developing countries.
