Becoming a Midwife

The Division of Midwifery offers a three year degree programme that has been designed for those who wish to complete the requirements for an honours degree as well as eligibility for registration as a midwife in the shortest possible time.

Successful students will to be eligible for the honours degree and registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The Division also offers a shortened course for Qualified Adult Nurses wanting to embark on a career in midwifery. This course is 80 weeks in length and successful completion enables students to register as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be awarded a Bachelor of Midwifery (Hons) Degree.
