The Microanalysis Research Facility (MRF) service undertakes groundbreaking interdisciplinary archaeological research projects.
MRF is available for use by colleagues from archaeology, museums, conservation, and other interdisciplinary researchers.

The University's in-house field unit, Trent & Peak carries out commercial archaeology work for developers and curators and contributes to teaching and fieldwork training and to the research of the Department.
