Building Information SystemUniversity Only Access

The Estates Office manages a system called the 'Building Information System', which is available to all personnel on the University of Nottingham Network. This system is a searchable online database that provides information about the allocation of space within University, including official building numbers, names, room numbers, space sizes etc, CAD drawings (by floor) for key buildings etc.

Areas of responsibility within the Space team are...

Lisa Haynes (Space Resource Manager)

Lisa is responsible for the allocation of space within the University. She manages the space record which forms the basis of the University's resource allocation model (RAM). In order to facilitate the best use of the University space, she keeps the University's record up to date, providing information concerning space to Schools on request. Lisa is also Secretary to the Space Management Committee (SMC) and is the central contact for submissions for space approval and project funding.

Sarah Phillips (Assistant Space Resource Manager)

Sarah maintains and updates the Building Information System and provides plans for space planning exercises. Sarah is also responsible for internal and external University signage as well as assisting Lisa Haynes in space resource management activities.

Sebastian Roschlau (CAD Officer)

Sebastian is responsible for maintaining and updating electronic drawings for the Estate Office. He is the contact point for all drawing requests including services drawings. Sebastian maintains the Estate Office procedures for CAD drawings and room numbering.
