The University of Nottingham is dedicated to medical research, sharing its expertise and expanding its knowledge base. It has a number of collaborations and partnerships across a broad range of disciplines, such as:
The University, together with Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust, jointly hosts The Institute for Mental Health (IMH). The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is working with the NHS to set up core supporting platforms for clinical translational research and the School of Clinical Sciences have collaborative research programmes with the NHS.
The Institute for Mental Health
The Institute for Mental Health aims to help transform the understanding and treatment of mental illness and is now considered to be one of the leading mental health institutes in the UK, offering leadership and innovation backed by world-class expertise.

Supporting platforms for clinical translational research
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is working with the NHS to set up core supporting platforms for clinical translational research, including:

Many divisions across the University’s School of Clinical Sciences have collaborative research programmes with the NHS in other disease areas.
