SHORT CURRICULUM VITAE

Dr Wilson joined the School of the Built Environment in 1995 and lectures in building environment systems. He has research expertise in building acoustics and the integration of new and renewable technologies in buildings. He is currently undertaking work investigating the use of damping materials to improve sound insulation in buildings, the acoustics of long spaces and the acoustic characterisation of sustainable construction materials. Dr Wilson participates in the Integration of New and Renewable Energy in Buildings (INREB) Faraday Partnership, and acts as an advisor to Halcrow Gilbert consulting engineers on the Government’s Large Scale BIPV field trial.
