TOLUIDINE BLUE

1. Sections to water.

2. Stain in toluidine blue for 10 seconds.

3. Wash in water.

4. Differentiate in 0.2% uranyl nitrate until the background appears colourless. 5. Dehydrate rapidly. Clear . Mount sections in DPX


RESULTS

Mast cells and some mucins purple/red

Nuclei pale blue

Uranyl nitrate is radioactive. Use P.P.E.
