Notes and definitions
1 UK
Students paying fees at the Home rate + Residents of the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, who pay fees at the Island rate. Included for 1 December are students registered on that date plus those we expect to register between 2 December and 31 July on a programme of study that we expect to be before the following 1 December. Also included in the 1 December student numbers are projections for mid-year admissions to selected programmes. Expected and projected student numbers are confirmed at scheduled updates and the numbers adjusted accordingly.
2 EU & Other International
Non-UK European Union students paying fees at the Home rate + Non-EU International students paying fees at the Overseas rate. Note that students based at the Malaysia and China campuses who spend a year at the Nottingham campus are considered international students at Nottingham for that year only and are not counted against the student population for the same year at their base campus.
