Help fund a student project
Nottingham students are never short of great ideas to help others but sometimes they need help to get their projects off the ground.
By giving to Cascade – our fund which supports student projects – you can help turn great ideas into reality, benefiting communities at home and around the world.
Since 2008, gifts from alumni and friends have supported over 200 innovative projects - yet many more are waiting for funding today.
Please donate and help our students develop themselves by giving something back to those in need.
THANK YOU for your support - you make student projects possible
What is Cascade?
Cascade is our student project fund, made possible through the generous support of alumni and friends. Students can apply for up to £25,000 for projects that boost opportunities for their peers and the wider community.
In today's competitive job market, extra-curricular activities and volunteering have never been more important. They open the door to new people and places, and help our students learn valuable life skills outside of their studies.
Great student projects in action
Thanks to a £3,000 grant students started a business selling sweet treats at social events from a tricycle – helping local people with learning disabilities in Nottingham gain skills and vital work experience.
Three alumni giving £10 a month was enough to cover the cost of renting vehicles and attending events.
Community First Responders
Medical students from our Derby campus used £7,000 for a life-saving community project alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service, with students providing moral and clinical support to people in distress before the ambulance arrives.
By donating £25 you could help get life-saving projects like this off the ground and into the community.
Donations make student projects possible
Cascade relies 100% on the generosity of alumni and friends donating to the programme.
Without your support, we don’t have any grants to give. Our fund is regularly over-subscribed and we can't support all the projects asking for our help.
Please donate today and help Nottingham students use their talents and skills to help change lives around the world.
