Doctoral research entitled "The English Coinages of William I (1066-1087) and William II (1087-1100) and their Implications for our Understanding and Public Representation of the Norman Conquest".
This project examines the extant coins of the first two Norman kings of England, with the intention of discovering what the coins can reveal about life in the kingdom at this time of political upheaval. Additionally, the project investigates the relationship between the surviving coins and the public institutions which keep and care for them, with the aim of developing practical recommendations for the improved use of coin collections in UK museums.
