Department of Archaeology

Classics and Archaeology welcomes new students

A warm welcome to the Department of Classics and Archaeology.

Wherever your interests lie we’re sure your studies here will extend them in new directions, as well as helping you to develop your intellectual confidence and maturity.

Our students are encouraged to develop their own specialist interests, to be involved in the research and field projects carried out by staff, and to study in the relaxed and informal atmosphere that is so much a part of the department's character.

We hope you enjoy your time at Nottingham. If you’re unsure about anything in these early weeks, don’t be afraid to ask questions or seek help from staff.

Helen Lovatt
Head of Department
