The University of Nottingham is the place to launch your career according to the The Times and The Sunday Times.

We were named University of the Year for Graduate Employability in their Good University Guide 2017, one of the most respected ranking guides to British universities.

The recognition is just reward for the £1 million investment in our careers service to help students stand out in the ever more competitive graduate job market.

Alastair McCall, editor of The Sunday Times Good University Guide, said: “Not only does Nottingham provide an outstanding academic education, it also offers students the extra dimensions that result in them leaving as well-rounded individuals ready to take their place in the world. Their careers services is exemplary and offers outstanding opportunities to students, who often get to meet their future employers through placements and work experience undertaken alongside their studies.”

In addition to being ranked number one for employability all of the subjects in the Faculty of Arts are ranked in the top twenty in their respective fields.

We're also on the shortlist for the Times Higher Education Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts - the "Oscars" of the igher education world - for the AncientBiotics project, investigating Anglo-Saxon medicines to cure modern day illnesses.
