Advanced Microscopy Unit
The AMU is a dedicated microscopy facility based in the School of Biomedical Scinces in the Medical School. It serves as a training centre for independent use or for a fully inclusive service. It currently has a large pool of users, including many academic institutions and industrial collaborators.
The AMU is equipped for microscopy and tissue preparation including: light and electron microscopy, fluorescence, confocal and time-lapse microscopy, preparation techniques for tissues, cells, materials and tissue engineered constructs and software for quantitative image reconstruction, tracking and analysis.
