Awards for best performance were presented across five categories to the following high-achieving students. Many congratulations to all our MBA/EMBA award winners.

Best MBA Business Plan/ MBA Company-Based Project

Joint winners: Chi (Rosy) Nguyen and Aditya Srivastav for outstanding work on their company consulting projects.

Rosy worked on a project with Quensus a UK company that specialises in the water leak detection and prevention sector. The project’s key objective was to develop an educational campaign designed to enhance brand awareness among the company’s specific target markets.

Aditya provided in-depth analysis of customer success operations and data optimisation at Adverity a software as a service company.

Best Management Research Project

Yi Yu

Yi’s supervisor, Dr Maria Karafyllia, was very impressed with her work ethic:

“Yi’s management research project was an outstanding piece of work with a genuine commitment to completing. She thoroughly engaged with the topic and research process rising to the challenge of addressing research problems and remaining focused.”

Award for Best Overall Performance on the full time MBA

Gonzalo Carcamo Suazo

Gonzalo achieved the award for working at an exceptionally high level across all his modules and a distinction overall, including a distinction for his Company Consulting Challenge project which he undertook at Cosmonauts. Roberto Rivero, COO at Cosmonauts said:

"Gonzalo's project involved interviewing eight functional managers and documenting their needs from Salesforce, then suggesting a way forward that catered for everyone's needs. He did this to a very high level, organised us in the process, and presented a very neat solution and implementation plan back to us. Had a paid-for consultant produced this level of work for us, I would have been pleased.”

Award for Best Performance in a Taught Module

Matt Beard - EMBA

Matt received his award for his excellent performance in the Business Ethics module.

Award for Best Overall Performance on the Executive MBA

Matt Beard

Matt graduated from the EMBA SLDA programme and started a new role as Director of Media Relations (Europe) for DP World.

Matt previously worked as a journalist for several national newspapers and a senior executive at Abellio, which operates train services in the UK and bus services in London.

His EMBA Management Project focused on the effects of the pandemic on bus drivers. The project entailed a significant amount of primary research centred around constructively engaging with his colleagues to discuss their experiences. The outcome was an outstanding piece of primary research which generated tangible findings for the company.
