Career Mentoring
The Career Mentoring programme has connected hundreds of students to University of Nottingham alumni over the last few years and the feedback has been incredible. It is now the right time for us to undertake a review of the programme and our processes to ensure we target and tailor our approach to those students who will benefit most from being mentored by UoN alumni.
The review will take place during the academic year 2023-24. When we are ready to launch our revised programme, this webpage will be updated and the scheme will be promoted to students.
Career Mentoring offered students the opportunity to be supported with their career goals by a member of our alumni community. Our career mentors were drawn from different sectors and professions, at varying stages of their careers and they volunteered their time to provide one-to-one support and advice.
The mentoring relationship between the student and alumnus developed through regular telephone and online contact over a four-month period so it gave the student time to benefit from their mentor's professional experience and knowledge.
