The team offers support with research development and the submission of funding applications. We can offer assistance from the beginning, when your research is simply an idea, through to final application.
Specific areas of support include:
The Research and Business Development Officers (RBDOs) support the development of research applications, as well as collaborations within and beyond academia. It is helpful to involve this team as soon as possible in the development of your idea for research.
The RBDOs mainly work within a Faculty, although they may work across Faculties to facilitate interdisciplinary research or to advise on specific Research Council opportunities, for example, if you are interested in applying to the AHRC contact Sue or Lisa, and for the ESRC, either Hilary or Nick.
The Research Funding Office provides costings advice and guidance in submitting research grant applications, including all queries relating to pFACT and electronic submission.
The Research Development and Funding Office teams work closely together and may both be involved in meeting with you to develop your ideas.
