CeDEx welcomes visitor Marcus Giamattei

We are delighted to welcome Marcus Giamattei, post-doc at the University of Passau (Germany), who is visiting CeDEx until mid December. Marcus says;

"During my stay you find me in room B11 (Sir Clive Granger). My office door is always open, so feel free to pass by for a chat, coffee or a beer at night. I am happy to discuss all kinds of experimental ideas, designs and research.

My main research interests are experimental and behavioural questions of various types. For my doctoral thesis I did some experiments in the area of macroeconomics (current account, price setting, disinflation). My current projects are more related to cooperation in the field (we did an experiment in the beer garden) and experiments on corruption and ethics together with Prof. Johann Graf Lambsdorff, who is my supervisor and invented the corruption perception index.

Next to that, I developed a software called classEx which can be used for interactive classroom experiments with mobile devices and as a lab-in-the-field. It is very easy to use and next to own experiments, a large set of experiments are already available. If you want to use that software in your teaching or want more information, just visit me at my office. I am also happy to assist for using it in class during the winter term.

Looking forward to meet you all".
