Dr Karen Syres, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Physical Chemistry, has recently accepted a Lectureship in Physics at the University of Central Lancashire.
Karen has spent the last 3 years at Nottingham working with Professor Robert Jones on the interactions of ionic liquids with surfaces. In addition to her research, she took a leading role in the Chemistry Postdoc Forum and was a member of the Equality and Diversity Committee. Karen has enjoyed working with the staff and students in the School of Chemistry and would like to thank them for all their support. She will be taking up her new position in January 2015.
