Energy efficient polymerisations: £300K new EPSRC funding for Prof Steve Howdle's team

SteveHowdle_news

Steve Howdle working with Matthew Davidson (University of Bath) has been awarded £300K under the EPSRC’s “Energy Resilient Manufacturing” call.

Their project entitled, “Lowering the Energy Demand and Broadening the Scope of Renewable Polymer Manufacture”, focuses on a new approach to energy efficient polymerisations. They will use high pressure carbon dioxide as a processing aid to make renewable polymers at lower temperatures than are currently possible commercially.
