Roaring Success for PressureSyn

The PressureSyn high pressure reactor, which was designed and developed by staff and the engineering workshop in the School of Chemistry was entered by Asynt into the Lions’ Lair competition at the recent Lab Innovations 2014 exhibition and conference at the NEC in Birmingham.

The Lions’ Lair award which is judged by an independent panel of experts is run annually to encourage the ongoing improvement of laboratory products and to foster innovation. Winning this title demonstrates that equipment, which was designed to meet the requirements of a specific research program, could be both of benefit to scientists outside of the university and of significant commercial potential to the School.
