Biography

I studied English and Italian with a Teaching a and later did a Postgraduate Certificate for teaching German and Project Development at the same university.

Before joining the University of Nottingham, I worked in the German Department of the University of Sheffield for one year as an Austrian lector, where I taught language and content modules like "Medien und Öffentlichkeit" and "Österreich heute". Previous to that, I was an Austrian lector for two years at the German Department of the University of St Andrews. In this role, I was coordinating and teaching German language modules.

In both universities, I was engaged in a number of extracurricular activities and projects.

My diploma dissertation was completed in Vienna under the title "Global and Intercultural Learning (GIL) in the EFL classroom". I am interested in developing teaching material for the various levels of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) and on how to foster collaboration on campus.
