Tuesday, 01 October 2019

*Please note that places for the first event are now full, but you will have the chance to sign up for subsequent events*

Are you interested in gaming, performing or visual arts, design, fashion, film, radio or TV? Have you thought about these industries as a potential career, or are you interested in working in the creative sector? If so, then the Creative Academy is for you.

New for the 2019/20 academic year, the Creative Academy is open to all University of Nottingham undergraduates, especially those who have come through a widening participation route to University. It’s an opportunity to meet and hear from inspirational individuals, start to understand the regional infrastructure of cultural organisations, and gain insight into a vast range of careers available in the creative sector.

You’ll be able to do this through three major events taking place in October, December and March.

The first event will take place on Tuesday 15 October, 5.30-8.30pm at Djanogly Theatre & Pavilion Café, Lakeside Arts, University Park Campus.

It will feature speakers from the video game industry, the theatre production industry, and the BBC.

The Creative Academy is part of the University of Nottingham’s Creative Pathways programme – a new initiative led by the University of Nottingham’s public arts programme Lakeside Arts. It is funded by the Office for Students between 2019-2022 to support diversification and graduate retention in the creative industries sector.
