Fairtrade Fortnight: Choose the world you want

Tuesday, 21 February 2023
Fairtrade Fortnight is taking place from Monday 27 February – Sunday 12 March, and is an opportunity to learn about the impact of climate change on farmers around the world.

The climate crisis poses an increasing threat not only to some of the planet’s most beloved food products, but to the farmers and agricultural workers who grow them. Fairtrade Fortnight will shine a light on how the survival of some of our most popular foods – bananas, cocoa, coffee – hangs in the balance unless we can achieve inclusive and equitable climate solutions.

You can find Fairtrade items – including bananas, coffee, chocolate and confectionery items – year-round across UoN retail outlets (excluding Starbucks, Costa and the Students’ Union).

To celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight there will bake sales across our campuses. Come along and enjoy a sweet treat with proceeds going towards the fight for climate justice and equality.
