Important deadlines

Online registration

You must complete online registration for each academic year, even if you’re going to be on placement or studying abroad.

If you are eligible to register for the 2023/24 academic year, an email has been sent to your university email account to let you know that online registration has opened for you.

The deadline for 2023/24 is Monday 9 October. If you do not register by the deadline, your university IT account may be suspended.

Voter registration

As a university student, you can vote in local elections at both your home and term-time addresses.

Students make up one in seven of the local population and so by voting in local elections you can make a real difference. Being on the electoral register is also an easy way to boost your credit score.

It only takes five minutes to register to vote directly with the local authority. Alternatively, you can also give the university permission to share your details with the local council while enrolling at UoN.
