Pack for Good – donate unwanted items and reduce your carbon footprint

Wednesday, 26 May 2021
Donate your unwanted goods to the British Heart Foundation, reduce your waste and help lower greenhouse emissions.

Since its launch in 2012, students at the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent have raised over one million pounds for the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Pack for Good campaign.

Despite 2020 disruptions, a remarkable 7,733 donation bags were collected last year, resulting in over £108,262 in funds for BHF. 61.86 tonnes of waste has been diverted away from landfill and 629,590kg of Co2 emissions have been avoided.

The campaign is running again in 2021 and there are currently 12 donation points available around the city.

The donation banks accept clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, books, computer games, CDs, DVDs, electrical items, crockery, cookware and homeware. They cannot accept food, knives, hangers, or dirty/damaged items, duvets or pillows.

Donate your old items and help reduce your carbon footprint. Find your nearest donation point.
