Student Switch Off Champion Training

Wednesday, 02 October 2019

Want to improve your CV, help tackle the climate crisis and receive a free Fairtrade t-shirt and University of Nottingham Keepcup for your efforts? Come along to the University of Nottingham Student Switch Off training!

Student Switch Off is an energy saving and recycling competition that takes place in all University of Nottingham on-campus catered halls, as well as Melton Hall. If you want to get more involved in Student Switch Off in your hall, as well as gaining skills and knowledge around communicating sustainability issues, our Champions training is a perfect place to start.

This informal session will be a fun and interactive workshop providing you with skills in communication, social media and environmental campaigning. It will look at Student Switch Off as a practical example of how to create a change in attitude around climate issues and with your help will plan the campaign for the University of Nottingham. The tips and tricks on effective communication will be transferable to your academic and extra-curricular activities and attending will look great on your CV! You’ll also have the opportunity to meet new people in your halls, and will be helping to reduce the University’s carbon footprint.

Training will take place on Wednesday 16 October, 3.30pm-5pm in The Studio, Portland Building, University Park.
