Your Student Guide to Digital Learning

Monday, 07 September 2020
Teaching and learning at UoN is going to look a bit different this year. To help you adjust to the new changes, we’ve compiled some useful tools and resources.

The Student Guide to Digital Learning supports you with your studies whether this is your first year at University or you’re returning for your fifth year. You’ll learn how to access and engage with online lectures and learning resources, and you’ll be able to consult advice on online communication and collaboration, focus and motivation, and looking after your digital wellbeing.

Our guide introduces you to the following tools:

  • Virtual desktop
  • Moodle
  • Engage
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Digital Discovery Tool

In addition, you’ll find advice on contacting your lecturers and personal tutors, using library services, observing appropriate online behaviour, and career planning.

We’ll be adding more resources to the guide as we approach the beginning of term, including live training and Q&A sessions.

We strongly recommend you make your way through the Student Guide to Digital Learning before contacting your school or department with any questions about online learning.
