We are delighted to share that several of our team have recently been recognised for their hard work and dedication in the School of Economics.
Congratulations to Senior Operations Officer, Hayley McCalla and Operations Manager, Allison Pearson who each won a prize for excellence in core operations at the inaugural ‘FOSSCARS’ (Faculty of Social Sciences Celebrating Achievements Rewarding Success) Awards.
Well done also to Senior Operations Officer, Natalia Bas, who was nominated in the supporting RKE category and Trish Limb and Scarlett Khansary who received a nomination for improving student experience. A final nomination went to the whole Operations Team in the ‘going the extra mile’ category, narrowly missing out to stiff competition.
More success came at the Faculty of Social Science’s Student Experience Awards which saw Dr Bouwe Dijkstra win a prize for his work as Director of Student Engagement and Support in Economics. Since taking on this role Bouwe has developed the use of the student engagement dashboard within the School, taken an active role in pastoral care and supported many of our most vulnerable students.
