School of Economics launches The Econverse Podcast

The School of Economics is excited to bring you The Econverse Podcast which launched in June 2023. This is a student-led initiative which invites inspirational guests from the global UoN community to provide valuable insights into their lives and careers after graduation.

Economics often involves topics like wealth and finance, but it's not all about numbers, goods and services. At its core, Economics is about people, and how they construct and sustain societies. With this in mind, Econverse is the place where intellectually stimulating conversations take place between students, academics and alumni designed to inspire and inform your aspirations wherever you are in your professional journey.

Each season will focus on a different theme, gathering together business moguls, policy makers and change agents from banking and consultancy, government and policy, international organisations, not for profits and research institutes, think tanks and much more.

So far, episodes have featured alumni guests including Myles Corson (EY), Elizabeth Brower (Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office) and Geoffrey Chapman (Department for Business and Trade). These and future episodes can be found on Spotify. New episodes will be released every Monday and there are plans for a second season next year.
