Biography

Prof Serhiy Bozhko received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electromechanical systems from the National Technical University of Ukraine, Kyiv City, Ukraine, in 1987 and 1994, respectively. Since 2000, he has been with the Power Electronics, Machines, and Controls Research Group, The University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, where he is currently the Associated Professor in Aircraft Electric Power Systems.

Prof Bozhko is a member of the Power Electronics, Machines and Control research group.

Expertise Summary

Prof S Bozhko leads several EU- and industry-funded projects in the aerospace electric power systems (EPS) field and his research interests include:

  • More-Electric Aircraft (MEA)
  • EPS for MEA including their architectures, electric power generation and distribution
  • Smart power management in MEA EPS
  • Control and stability issues
  • Electric Power Quality
  • Advanced modelling and analysis methods, as well as simulation techniques.
