Technology Analyst at Bank of America

The Foundation Engineering and Physical Science course helped to familiarise me with the university environment and teaching style. It's a highly supportive environment and you can learn at your own pace to prepare you for your next steps.

Was the course you progressed onto one you had always wanted to do, or did you decide whilst studying on the FEPS programme?

I initially wanted to study computer science but whilst on the FEPS programme, I became interested in maths so I decided to pursue a course that combined computing and maths (electronic and computer engineering).

What have you done since completing the FEPS course?

I have work experience at JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and BP, I had a four year STEM scholarship from BP, I did a summer semester abroad at Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, summer internship at Bank of America and I am now working a full time role as a Technology Analyst at Bank of America.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to do this course?

Make the most out of your foundation year because you are getting a head start! Join societies and expand your social network as much as you can.

The lecturers go above and beyond to make sure that all students are accommodated and supported. I was also able to make friends that I still have to this day!
