Before starting as a Teaching Associate within the Foundation Engineering and Physical Sciences department, I taught Chemistry up to A-level at a local outstanding secondary school. I was a sixth form tutor and mentor to Schools Direct trainee teachers.
I am a teaching associate within the Foundation Engineering & Physical Sciences department.
I oversee how we use Moodle and ensure that all of the information students need is easily accessible. I make sure the pages are kept up to date with resources from the lectures and notify students of upcoming electronic assessments.
I also coordinate the writing, checking and publishing of the online assessments (Moodle and Examsys) and paper examinations for each of the modules within the Foundation year along with the electronic feedback students receive after the assignments are completed.
Once an assessment is completed, I make sure all of the data is stored safely and shared with the appropriate people in the university so that students are able to view their results online at the right time.
