Surojit is an academic in the Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMC) research group with teaching duties in the Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing (M3) Engineering department. His research area can be summarised into three focus areas: electrical powertrain modelling and simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation of electrical systems with special focus on power HIL, geographically distributed HIL and Digital Twins, and battery systems design and optimisation for sustainable futures. Surojit has been involved in electrification in motorsport for the last 8 years through Formula Student and other industrial collaborators in the same field.
