A Celebration in Style
A symposium in honour of Prof Ronald Carter and Prof Katie Wales
The University of Sheffield and the University of Nottingham are delighted to present a one-day symposium in honour of two of the most influential figures in contemporary stylistics. The day will celebrate the continuing legacy of Prof Carter and Prof Wales in the study of style within the fields of stylistics, applied linguistics, and sociolinguistics.
Plenary lectures will be delivered by major figures in each of these disciplines. The day will conclude with a roundtable discussion.
