Dr Peter Kirwan wins Hanson Lee Dulin Senior Fellowship

Peter Kirwan
Dr Peter Kirwan has been awarded a Hanson Lee Dulin Senior Fellowship by the Folger Institute. Dr Kirwan will be taking up a month-long residency at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC in September 2015 to work on the project ‘Marlowe’s Early Books: Henry VI and The Whole Contention’. He will be using the library’s unique holdings of early Shakespeare and Marlowe quartos to investigate how new claims for authorship of these plays may impact on an understanding of Marlowe’s implied presence in the early playbook marketplace. Part of this research will be published by Cambridge University Press in 2016 in a new book collection on Christopher Marlowe’s print and stage history.
