Midlands Graduate School Student Conference 2017

MGS ESRC Student Conference Poster Interactive (2)[1]

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Call for Papers for the 5th Midlands Graduate School ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership/ Doctoral Training Centre Student Conference.

The conference will be held on Wednesday 7th June 2017 at the Nicolson Building in the beautiful Winterbourne Gardens at the University of Birmingham. The keynote speaker is Professor Angela McRobbie, and the general theme of the conference is “Communication of Social Science”.

There are two ways to get involved:

Short Presentations

We invite submissions for short presentations from ESRC-funded postgraduate researchers from the Universities of Birmingham, Nottingham and Warwick. Each presentation will be scheduled for 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes Q&A.

Posters

We invite submissions for posters from all postgraduate researchers working within the fields of economic and social research registered at the Universities of Aston, Birmingham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Warwick.

We are sorry that we are unable to accept abstracts for presentations from non-ESRC funded students, but they are welcome to submit abstracts for posters, hence the two variations of the Call.

Visit the Conference web page for more information.
