Research Topic Title
Living or Surviving: Understanding anti-PASS attitudes in China and Taiwan
This project seeks to explore social attitudes towards sexual minorities in China and Taiwan, from the perspective of both LGB and heterosexual informants. Through in depth qualitative interviews it seeks to understand the social structures which underpin homophobic attitudes and how these attitudes are experienced by LGB individuals.
Gender and Sexuality, Queer theory, Chinese studies, specifically literature exploring the role and meaning of family within society.
