Knowledge exchange funding

Nottingham Impact Accelerator

You can access a number of Internal funding streams to support translation of research outputs and the exchange of knowledge between the university and the wider economy.  

Support mechanisms include secondments to industry and proof of concept funding to further develop new ideas arising from research carried out at the institution. Awards range from travel grants of up to £3,000 to translational research awards up to £100,000. 

The different funding streams include:  

• BBSRC IAA  (Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Impact Acceleration) 
• EPSRC IAA (Engineering and Physical Sciences Impact Acceleration) 
• ESRA IAA – (Economic and Social Impact Acceleration) 
• MRC CIC – Medical Research Council Translational Funding) 
• HERMES – (Fellowships, prime pumping for KE activities across all disciplines) 
• Science and Technology Facilities Council Impact Accelerator Account 
• ICURe - Innovation to commercialisation of University Research 
• beLAB 1407 – Drug Discovery
