What is the closing time for entries on 19th February?
Entries will be accepted up until midnight Friday 19 February 2015 (UK time). Entries received from either UK or overseas campuses after this deadline will not be put forward for review by the judging panel.
When and where will the results be announced?
The award winners will be announced at a dinner at the East Midlands Conference Centre on the evening of Thursday 5th May. Shortlisted entrants will be announced in early March and will be invited to attend the awards dinner.
Can I apply for more than one award category?
Yes you can apply for the Knowledge Exchange and Impact Award, the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Knowledge Exchange and the Media Awards if you wish. The only restriction is that you will need to enter the Knowledge Exchange award which is relevant to you (either UK or International), either the UK award or the International award, depending on where you are based.
If I entered the Knowledge Exchange and Innovation Awards 2014, can I enter the Knowledge Exchange and Impact Awards 2016?
Yes, you can enter the Knowledge Exchange and Impact Awards even if you entered the 2014 awards. However, you will need to complete the online form for this year’s awards.
The 2014 awards included awards for spin-out companies and student enterprise, why are there no awards for these this time?
There is now a biennial ‘Enterprise Dinner’, the last of these was held in 2015 and the next will be in 2017. At these events, the success of student enterprises and spin-out businesses are recognised.
Are UNNC and UNMC eligible to apply for the UK awards?
Applications from UNNC and UNMC will be included in the International category. Entrants from UNNC and UNMC can also enter the Media Awards as well. If there is any ambiguity i.e. there has been some collaboration between campuses then please contact the awards team for further clarification.
Does the project I am entering need to be complete and acknowledged by external bodies?
An entry can be submitted based on potential as opposed to current, evidenced success. However, applicants will need to put forward a strong case to demonstrate a projects potential. Please refer to the judging criteria for further information.
