Fee Changes Fact Sheet

If you are from the UK or the EU and are starting an undergraduate course at the University of Nottingham in September 2017:

  • The tuition fee for the first year of your course will be £9,250.
  • The fee for your course is likely to rise each year, meaning that the fee for your second and subsequent year(s) could be higher. More information is included below.
  • We will tell you by the end of June each year, what the fee for the next year will be. 

If you are from the UK or the EU and are starting an undergraduate course at the University of Nottingham in September 2018 or later

  • The tuition fee for the first year of your course is likely to be more than £9,250. More information is included below. The Government has yet to confirm how much we may charge.
  • The fee for your second and subsequent year(s) might be higher again. We will tell you by the end of June each year, what the fee for the next year will be.  
  • The Government will continue to lend you money to pay fees, so you do not have to pay your fees up-front. You will start to pay back your fees loan, once you are earning a good salary.The University of Nottingham will continue to provide bursaries and other financial support for students on lower incomes entering in 2017 and 2018.

 

The University reserves the right to increase tuition fees by inflation (RPI excluding mortgage interest payments) as permitted by law or Government policy in the second and subsequent years of your course. If we intend to exercise this right to increase tuition fees, we will let you know by the end of June in the academic year before the one in which we intend to exercise that right.

The University in addition reserves the right to increase tuition fees to the maximum permitted by law or Government policy where this exceeds the rate of inflation. If we intend to exercise this right to increase tuition fees, we will let you know by the end of June in the academic year before the one in which we intend to exercise that right.
