Full-time courses across our five faculties typically last for three to four years, although some degrees such as medicine and architecture have a longer duration.

If you have taken the HND, we can typically accept grades ranging:

  • From 3.0 to 4.0 for Grading Scale out of 4 (nb Vocational and comparable to UK BTEC / SQA Higher National Diploma (HND) standard / Foundation degree standard)
  • From 3.5 to 5 for Grading Scale out of 5

This summary is provided as guidance and requirements may vary for individual courses.

Students who have completed at least one year at a university in Nigeria and achieved good grades may be considered for direct entry to our undergraduate degree courses.

Gbemisola2

“I read about the ground-breaking research that has originated from the University of Nottingham in the field of medicine, the rich multi-diverse pool of students from several countries of the world and got wowed by the eco-friendly scenes I saw on the website. I knew this was a school I would like to study in.”

Gbemisola from Nigeria, MSc Global Health

“The University is quite cosmopolitan and diverse, so the cultural transition should not be a huge shock as you will always find your niche (there is almost a society for every interest).”

Opeyemi Isaac from Nigeria, MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine
