Engineering – a winning formula

Approximately three quarters of the UK’s energy is produced using oil and gas, much of it found underground, and under the sea.

University of Nottingham alumni Yasmin Ali, a former Chemical Engineering student, works as Development Engineer for E.ON Exploration and Production. On Friday 27 November she will be talking about her experiences and achievements after university, as well as the challenges she has faced and what life is like as a professional engineer.

After graduating from Nottingham, Yasmin completed the E.ON Engineering and Leadership Graduate Scheme. She received the WES Young Woman Engineer of the Year award in 2013. Yasmin also carries out voluntary work as an ambassador for STEMNET and OPITO.

The talk is part of the Engineering Distinguished Lecture series, and will take place in room B02 in the Engineering and Science Learning Centre (ESLC).
