Part of the Nottingham University Business School Business Leaders Series.

This Business Leaders Series lecture guest speaker is Andrew Griffith, Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Sky plc (and The University of Nottingham Law alumnus).

The University of Nottingham invites high profile business people to give a talk about a variety of business and management topics. Events are open to Business School and University alumni, students, and staff as well as visitors from business and industry.

Speaker biography

Andrew Griffith was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer in March 2016. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer he is responsible for the Group’s overall future growth plans as well as the Group’s advertising businesses across Europe including Sky AdSmart.

Andrew joined Sky in 1999 from Rothschild, the investment banking organisation, where he provided financial and strategic advice to corporate clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sector.

In March 2014, Andrew was appointed Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Just Eat plc and is also a Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. He is a Trustee of Riverside Studios in West London, a registered charity. Andrew has a Bachelor of Law degree from The University of Nottingham and is a qualified chartered accountant.
