Four more years: HRLC to conduct multidisciplinary research on the protection of fundamental rights in the UK

In October 2014, HRLC was successfully re-awarded the multi-annual framework contract as the UK member of FRANET. FRANET is the FRA's multidisciplinary research network.

Over the next four years, HRLC will conduct social and legal research examining key developments in the FRA’s thematic areas of fundamental rights protection as determined by the FRA’s Multi-Annual Framework 2013-2017:

  •  Immigration and integration of migrants, visa and border control and asylum
  •  Information society and, in particular, respect for private life and protection of personal data
  •  Racism, xenophobia and related intolerance
  •  Discrimination
  •  Roma integration
  •  The rights of the child
  •  Access to justice including judicial cooperation
  •  Victims of crime, including compensation to victims

The data collated will facilitate the Agency’s comparative analyses.

HRLC has been the UK Contractor for FRANET since 2011 and prior to this was a member of the FRALEX network (2008-2011).
