HRLC Welcomes International Criminal Law Experts to Specialist Workshop

Today HRLC is pleased to welcome the esteemed participants of the Cooperation and the International Criminal Court Workshop. The Workshop is convened by Professor Olympia Bekou, International Criminal Justice Unit Head.

Over six sessions the workshop will host panel discussions on:

  •  The ICC Cooperation Regime;
  •  Non-Cooperation with the ICC;
  •  Cooperation and Witness-Related Issues;
  •  Cooperation and the Freezing of Assets;
  •  Cooperation and Issues at the National Level;
  •  Strengthening the ICC Cooperation Regime.

Each panel will be comprised of leading experts in the field, bringing together individuals from the Court, academia and civil society to examine the current challenges facing the ICC’s international cooperation regime.

The two day Workshop will be concluded with a presentation by Professor Bekou and Mr Daley Birkett, HRLC Research Associate, outlining their work on the Cooperation and Judicial Assistance Database (CJAD).
