Report "Improving the Life Chances of Children and Young People with Mental Health Conditions In Detention"

HRLC was awarded a grant by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to do a scoping study concerning children and young people with mental health problems at risk of detention.

Professor Peter Bartlett carried out the above study and submitted a report – “Improving the Life Chances of Children and Young People with Mental Health Conditions In Detention” – to the EHRC.

The report consists of a literature review covering England, Scotland and Wales and is intended for internal use by the EHRC. It includes key qualitative and quantitative information in the area of young people with mental health problems who are detained or at risk of being detained that could inform further investigation by the EHRC
