Department establishes 'Women in Philosophy' network

As part of the remit of the Equality and Diversity committee, and in accordance with the British Philosophical Association and Society for Women in Philosophy (BPA/SWIP) best practice guidelines adopted by the department a new initiavtive has been formed. The department is fostering a network for women in philosophy, to provide support networks, informal mentoring, and a positive space for women post-graduates, post-docs, and teaching and research staff in philosophy. The committee also works to promote the work of women and under-represented minorities in philosophy.

The first meeting was held on Friday 17 October, and all staff and postgrads identifying as 'women in philosophy' are warmly welcomed. For more details, please contact Jules Holroyd.
