Biography

I am a Teaching Associate at Nottingham University (2023/4) and recently completed by PhD at Birkbeck, University of London. (2019-2023)

I am also a Research Fellow at Centre for Contemporary Aristotelian Studies in Ethics and Politics (CASEP) (2023-2025) and an Honorary Research Fellow at Birkbeck, University of London.

Research Summary

I work in two primary areas

  • The History of 20th Century Philosophy: I focus primarily on the moral philosophy of Mary Midgley and work on several other women philosophers including Philippa Foot, Elisabeth Anscombe and Rosalind Hursthouse.

  • Meta-Ethics: I work on Mary Midgley's Neo-Aristotelian Naturalism and the work of Philippa Foot and Alastair MacIntyre.
