Biography
I am from Bangladesh and currently on study leave from the University of Dhaka to pursue the doctoral degree in religious studies at the university of Nottingham. I have been serving as a faculty of the university of Dhaka, the oldest university of Bangladesh, for several years. I have also experienced of teaching in different universities in Bangladesh, i.e. Jagannath University, Dhaka and Bangladesh Open University.
Expertise Summary
Basically, my area of interest includes the Muslim and non-Muslim relations, especially the relationship among the followers of Abrahamic religions. I conducted my M.Phil from the University of Dhaka (DU) on the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims in Bangladesh.
I also have interest on the present scenario of various Muslim denominations in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi-Muslim community throughout the globe. This interest is basically due to understand the situation of Muslims in terms of their relations with Islam and to examine their religiosity in this present era.

Current Research
My current research proposed to work within the texts and fatawas of Ibn Taymiyya (1263-1328), the most prolific Islamic (hanbali) scholar of medieval period, with an aim to find out his thought regarding the social relations between Muslims and Christians of that time.
Future Research
In future, I have the plan to give my attention to the study of Ibn Taymiyya and his influences upon the Muslim society. Besides, various issues of Muslim and non-Muslim relations in different regions will also be conducted, with a special reference to Bangladesh and south Asia.
