Humanities departments continue to do well in the rankings according to the 2013 Complete University Guide league tables published in May 2012. These subject league tables are based on four equally weighted factors: student satisfaction, research assessment, entry standards and graduate prospects. History is 13th out of 91 departments in the UK, Archaeology is 17th out of 39 departments and Art History is 14th out of 32 departments. On the rise are Classics, now 11th out of 24 departments and Philosophy, now 14th out of 51 departments. Among the ‘top ten departments in UK’ are Theology and Religious Studies, now risen to 7th out of 39 departments and Music, which has risen by 7 places to be 9th out of 71 departments.
